Answers to Your Tough Questions

Last month I asked the reader's from my mailing list to send me their toughest, most skeptical questions so I could answer them in a podcast. I received some pretty good, sometimes rather personal, questions.

I loved it!

Part one of my answers is now available online at this link. And you don't need an iPod or mp3 player to hear this, or any, podcast. Any computer can play the file through its speakers. And it's free.

A word of warning: My podcasts aren't really like canned responses from a corporation. What you hear is me talking to you the way I would if we were sitting on my patio discussing training and trainees. I hope you'll like it.

Stay tuned for Part two.

If you use iTunes you can enter this link to subscribe to all my podcasts: http://www.superrepequipment.com/podcast.xml

Get Your SuperRep Streamline Free

One of the questions we hear a lot is, "Do you have any 'before and after' photos of people who train with your machine?" We got talking about that and thought of a way to make it worth people's while to send us their photos and stories of success - we'll give them their machine free!

We've set aside two dozen SuperRep Streamline machines to be used in this limited time promotion. Here's how it works: briefly, when you send us your before and after photos showing your transformation we'll send you a check for the full amount of your purchase, including shipping, if we use your photos (with your permission) in our advertising. And even if we don't use them in advertising, we'll still pay you $250 just for your effort!

This is a 'can't lose' offer because you have up to one year from when you receive the machine to reach your personal goal (as defined by you) and send us your story. In any event, just for giving it a shot you're guaranteed $250 off of your purchase!

This is a fantastic deal and, obviously, one we can't afford to run forever. So we've only set aside 24 machines for this promotion. Here are just a few of the reasons to make the decision to act now:

  • You're guaranteed $250 savings

  • There is built-in $2,500+ motivation to stay with your training program and reach your goals within one year

  • This offer includes the new and improved SuperRepTraining program that engineers your workouts and tracks your progress (This is the new site that will replace MyStrengthCoach)

  • International Customers: the US dollar is at an historic 15-year low against major international currencies. Your money buys this US-made machine for cheaper than ever! Check this conversion website for today's conversion rate. I think you'll be pleasantly shocked.

Fair warning - these few machines won't last long.

Can You Lift a Car?

Ever since my son and I did the Toyota lift I've been explaining to people that there is nothing special about us and that virtually anyone can get strong enough to lift that much weight if they train rationally using static contraction principles.

I know there are many of you out there training on the Streamline machine who can lift the equivalent of a Toyota or even more. So I'd like to ask you to send in a picture or video clip of you performing a leg press with the meter displaying the weight as you do the press.

If you read this page of the website you'll know that the equivalent weight on the Streamline is 1,819 pounds. (Because we lifted the car on a 45 degree angle and that's easier than lifting it straight up and down. On the Streamline the weight reading is honest so 1,819 pounds is equal to loading 2,573 on a conventional leg press machine.)

Frankly, I'm pretty excited to see what you guys send in. I know many of you can do a lot better than my son and I and I'm wondering how high "up" is. And just to make it a bit more fun we'll award a prize to the person who sends in our favorite story/photo/video. (Not necessarily the highest weight lifted.)

The prize is this Sanyo Xacti VPC-E1 6MP Waterproof MPEG4 waterproof video camera. The sole criterion for selecting this prize is that I think it's very cool and I want one for myself. So I figure if I want one most people would too. (Does that imply a big ego? I don't mean it to, I just mean that I'm basically the same as most other guys and the idea of having a small video camera, that can go in a pool, on a boat, skiing or whatever seems very cool to me.) Plus this video camera has great ratings at Amazon.

We'll give everyone a few weeks to make sure you don't have to rush and are fully recovered before your recorded lift. What we're looking for is a few words from you about your training and and a digital photo or a video clip of you performing the leg press with 1,819 pounds (827 Kg) or more on the Streamline. We'll put some of your stories and images on the web so we'll also need your permission to do that. If you have any questions about this you can send them to Contest@SuperRepEquipment.com

Pete Lifts a Toyota Corolla

If you train using static contraction you already know how much weight you can lift and how strong you can get. But I wanted to find a better way to illustrate the point. So my son and I made a video of us leg pressing a Toyota Corolla. We put the video on YouTube but you can see it at the website I created for the event. http://www.getthisstrong.com/video.html

The website also has a lot of interesting information about the lift.

I NEED YOUR HELP

The whole idea behind this event is to generate the maximum possible exposure for static contraction training and to tell people how they can get the health benefits of being this strong after only 60 seconds of total workout time! (Nobody else can do that.)

So I'm really hoping those of you who receive this will pass it along to everyone you think would enjoy seeing it. My ultimate goal is to get some really big notice from MSN or Yahoo or to get the clip on CNN or ESPN, not to mention all of similar outlets around the world.

The links to pass on are to the website: http://www.getthisstrong.com/video.html

And/or to YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/getthisstrong

I'd really appreciate you telling as many people as possible about this. And if you're already training with my method you can send the link and honestly tell your friends, "This is how I train" That way you'll get the respect you deserve! ;-)

Thanks a million!

Big News Next Week

I haven't blogged or sent any e-mail for three weeks because we've been working on something very powerful that will really spread the news about static contraction and the value of rational training.

Next week I'll have a very big announcement accompanied by a unique display and video clip that I hope you'll want to share with your friends. In fact, I'll be asking my customers to help us spread the big news. When people see next week's display they'll absolutely understand why you've been using SCT!
